Vintage shots from days gone by!

    That kind of stuff did not happen there during World War II, most of my family worked at that plant putting out war planes. My father was a crew chief, my grandmother installed cockpit instruments, uncle worked in the design facility. I remember when a whistle would call in the workers, call lunch time and quiting time. The Sunset Park area of Santa Monica was a home to the Douglas Aircraft Company.

  12. Timberline Lodge has had St Bernards living there since built in 1937! The tradition is still continued to this day with two of the mountain dogs in residence! Heidi and Bruno! I think there might be a new Pup, I don't know for sure! They live like royalty.

    San Rafael Calif. 1714 4th st . Its still there my dad worked for jack 1936 37 went to work at Mare Island Navel ship yard in Vallejo CA. 1937 - 1972. Thanks.
