Planning to learn / do some engine turning. Got a few places I think it might look good. If not, buy some parts to replace what I screwed up by trying to turn it.

    Get the transmission working correctly.

New seats. I found some I like, they’re in my shed. Need to figure out how to make them fit, and what else I’ll have to change to do it.

I’d like to get the radio out of the glove box door, put the box back in, and fix the door.

Good luck with your surgery. I had a bicep tenodedis and a rotator cuff debridement in May and am still going to PT twice a week. I was able to throw a ball for the first time in 8 months last week. Good stuff!!

It gets real cold in NY for a few months. I have a kero heater if I need to do something. Current plans are not to do too much. Get all my trim together, identify all the clips and so on. Some needs to be straightened, all needs to be polished. My machine shop needs a good cleaning. I do drive the car as long as there is no slush and the salt is washed off the roads.

Put the 4 bar under my ‘62 short bed unibody. Also get the big window section put in. Get to work on the ‘32 ch***is so it’s ready for the body in the spring.

My Mercury needs some paint work on front from road rash, we seem to have lots of **** on roads here. Have not met a fellow Carnut in my retirement home area (northern Wi.) that does painting as a sideline, just legit shops, men making a living. I'm thinking I'll have to prep and paint it myself as the shop rates and prices quoted are more than I want to pay, figure my time is 0$ (retired) (have proper tools) will paint in driveway, the material's cost is high today, but thinking I can do and redo, sooner or later I'll get it right, not a show car, it's a driver that I take to shows. Have had car 4 years now 18000 miles, got mechanicals squared away. Day dreaming on attempting some kustom paint work just to see how well I can do as a challenge. Many many moons ago, did body, paint work so I have some experience. You asked, that's my plan at the moment, subject to change.

Install wiper motor - nice to have when it rains.

Fix and or replace the interior fan switch - defroster/moving air would be nice.

If I have money (yeah, right) maybe one of those Vintage Air deals - AC next summer would be the bee's knees.

Tires, tie-rod ends, weatherstripping, frenching headlights, thinner driveshaft, maybe rear end...

Yeah, it's a list. Money and time.

    Well
I leave here right after Christmas for Mesa/Apache Junction and so my time comes before then and then resumes just after April first.
Considering lakester exhausts, really want a rear rolled pan fabbed for me as I don't have the machine tools to do so, and I'd like to have the black dherry shot on it. Tall order but if I get some of it done, I'll be satisfied.
