    Yeah sure! The NOLA police are going to give Fats Domino a ticket over an inspection sticker! That would be something to see.

    The first attached photo is of the two Kurtis 500A roadsters for Roger Wolcott that had Chrysler V8 engines in them. A great experiment that didn't work all that well. George Connor and Johnnie Tolan were the drivers. The Chrysler dealer Murrel Belanger had another of these stock block roadsters with the same result.

    The second photo is of George Connor in 1948 as part of the Bennett Brothers/Cotton Henning team. I see that this car is listed as using a Miller engine. Is there any background on this car, Rootie? Could this be a pre-war car that was redone by Myron Stevens?

    I believe the Connor car was originally the #32 Sampson that Bob Swanson first drove in 1939 with the V16 replaced by the Miller inline 8.
