Been away a while. Been working on my barbers 51 ford shoebox. Chopping the top, installing drivetrain, lowering the front and airbagging the rear. 20170621_200340.jpg

Holy Crap, you've been busy. Did you ever set the saws-all down to cool off? Love the chop and especially the amount of "B" pillar slant. Keep the pics coming.

Haha. It's been a pretty quick project. The pillars were definitely the complicated part. I wanted to keep them thin so I started the angle above the belt line. I'll try to keep up on the posts.

That's a really nice chop man
Your lines are perfect especially the line about 2.5 inches above the drip rail love how that line runs down all the way to the bottom of the back window that takes some creative thinking cheers J

Got alot done and still much to do. Got the rear 2 link in and convinced lumpy to bag the front. Got the front done and shocks in all corners. Got the wind wings cut down and now working on the garnish mouldings. 20180718_191424.jpeg 20181117_184123.jpeg 20181117_181720.jpeg 20181226_165123.jpeg

Could you add some detail on how you did the wing windows?

First I stripped it down. Pulled glass and stainless around glass out, pulled the rubber. Cut the top free and test fit. Trimmed the height then test fit again. Cut relief cuts in the perimeter to get new angle. Welded to top back together. I test fit again then mocked up stainless in the cut down frame. Marked where the new bend need to be. Then clamped in a VISE and heated the inside of the stainless to bend it. Lightly hammered the bend as it cooled then test fit and marked the excess. Then trimmed and reinstalled.
