That two-tone paint is different ain't it, I think the license plate may be trom Europe.
I saw that right after I got my blood pressure under control!

1947, I rode my bike to watch them move the "Goose" from Hughes plant to assemble in Long Beach,Ca.---Trucks moved ahead to hold up low hanging telephone wires to clear that tall stabilizer!

 

A little air-to-air refueling simulation in the top image? I can't see any boom. Gary

yes it is. In Marin City. A genuine road house. Was closed for years. They were working on it when I left.

I agree. Doesn't look like film. Side view mirror is modern, methinks.

 

I think it is just a publicity shot to the B-36 fuselage version of the proposed Convair freighter. And the larger proposed passenger double deck version. No refueling implied

The picture of the car with the body off (3724762) looks to have factory Pontiac Aluminum wheels and a Pontiac engine.

 

Note the license plate? European maybe? Some offshore Chevy
