Black walls.... for sure... I'm running black walls on my 36 3w... I like the bottom picture... just my 2 cents worth. In then end it's what you like...
I like the blackwalls as well. Although I'd like to see the whitewalls with black wheels. Neat car...
black walls look good with color on the wheels, whitewalls look ok with black wheels. Blackwalls on black wheels...kind of dark. Whitewalls on red rims...too busy.
Here is a different view for you, drop the trim rings and run the hub caps either with black walls or white walls. Just trying to add to your decision making. Very Nice Car either way you go.
Personally I like the whitewalls on the red wheels. And as HRP said, I think the rear wheels are too wide. But, I like that car, either way it looks good!
I like both white and black walls on your car, what I don't care for is wheel color, as Squirrel pointed out. Why is it, when someone posts a thread asking honest opinions of us there is at least one person that doesn't get it. They always say something like, "its your car, do what you want". If they knew what they wanted to do they wouldn't be asking for our opinion now would they. Nice car by the way!
I would just like to say, that I love your coupe. I also like changing my wheels and tires all the time. You can have a different look with the same Rod, and it's very easy. And it looks as if you have both sets already anyway. I'd get a set of gray spoke mags and some chrome reverse with W.W.s yet. And then just change them when ever, for another look.. But hay that's just me. Ron...
Let's see. White on a black wheel. White on a silver wheel. Black on a black wheel. And black on a red wheel. Rotate often for some variety in life. 8^ Jack E/NJ
Do both... Whites on one side black on the other. Can't see both sides at the same time. Just make sure the rears are within a 1/4-1/2" same cir***ference. PS. I like the white
I asked the same question several years ago for my roadster and got a split response. I kept the black walls because I liked it better. ( I always thought the photo shopped pic with the whitewalls made my car look like it was wearing tennis shoes ) You should do what you like best. I'd stay with the blackwalls on your car, I think Wide Whites are better looking on a fat fendered 30s or a later 40s or 50s car. My opinion only
No poll? I like them both, but prefer the black walls on that car. Gives it a more serious hot rod look. The white walls look a bit cartoonish.
To me, the white walls offer more cl*** while the black wall tires offer a more domineering look. You have a tough choice to make. Either way is a good choice.
I totally agree the back wheels on the white walls are to wide the black walls are the same size tire just on a narrower rim it fits the wheel wells much better
