A few little updates. went back to repairing my dash, bought a cheap dash for cuts but realised I might as well finish it off the way I was headed. It wouldn't save any time. Also made a start to the subfloor. Pie cut 50x20x3mm rhs to follow the chassis. I also tack welded my junk seat I found, after narrowing it. It'll work well. Great hunting! Some great stuff...a '32 roadster, in the trash heap! I'm drooling over the '32 fenders for $200!!! Cool flattie, love those 21 stud mills... I have '35 V8 wires, with '33 Ford caps. Please enlighten me to the COOOOOL "Lucas" Dizzy? Tell me more, please. My '27 Touring has a flathead, given me by my mate in San Jose. It's a '46 59A, .040" over, I'm doing a cheap freshen up on it, too. Really curious about that Lucas goodie!
An ol timer told me if you find early V8 caps with a hole in the middle they were probably used as caps for fence posts at one time. Keep the rain off the end grain to make the posts last longer. At least that what he said. But you do see quite a few with that small hole.....

You need a torch and leave a trail of crumbs or string if you ever want to get out of that place! That's a nice collection of radios! What years do you reckon they are out of?
Those radios are similar to 55 Ford, must be Australian only, looks like they have shortwave bands on them.
You can believe that. One day in '55 my pal Dave Marshall and I were climbing thru a barbed wire fence near the field where I found my roadster. Dave reached up to the top of the post and surprised a 2 foot long gopher snake, sunning himself on a nailed-down V8 hub cap atop the post! Dave caught the little snake, and took it home...There were 10 or more caps on posts we could see...Guess @alchemy's ol' timer was right.
Not much progress... picked up an offset generator bracket tonight and sorted front cycle guards. Made from spare wheel front fender wells. Bought one already removed, and used the one from the front fenders I picked up a while back. Sent from my SM-N910G using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Spare tire covers from mid-'30s Ford are the correct thing for 'cycle-type' fenders! Another great find! Luck is with you, Mate!

I thought they were lincolns when i got mine too took me a couple years to figure out what they came from.
Yes same as yours they never had bezels either on the bikes, they are still very cool lookin lights, and worth a bit of money they seem to be pretty rare mine sold for $130 on ebay
