I have been collecting parts for my 34 roadster for a couple years. I finally have a couple months to work on it and some of my other projects. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I got a deal recently for a rear clip and 3 doors (well 2 1/2 doors) to go with my cowl. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I started with the 1/2 door first... the skin was pretty straightforward... the door edge is going to be tricky. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Here are some pictures of progress with the door wood frame. I was lucky to have picked one set to use as a template. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Looks great! Looks like you’ve found some good doors. I think you are doing the right thing in making your wood. I am going to do the same on my Phaeton after buying the wood available for one door. The finish work was what I feel is pretty rough for the $1050 cost of it. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I got the cowl last year from a guy in Southern California, the rear clip and doors came from a friend in Northern California. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
RonaldR here looking at the cowl it appears that the throttle is on the right side, must have come from down under.
The key is having a template... I did the b-pillars for my three window last year with my fathers help and have him for this project also. He is the wood guy. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Yes, the cowl is originally Australian. The roadsters were imported in pieces from Canada and the cowls were modified with a pie cut to fit the Aussie doors. I will reverse the modification to fit the American doors. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
That wood work is tooo pretty to cover up, I'd have to just leave the panels off & stain the wood & call it done.
Looks good! If you end up with an extra door top and want to sell it, let me know. I could use something as a pattern, even if it's shot.
Working on some other projects today, but here is the 33 dash for the car. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I should have a top from the other passenger door after I replace it... Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Cool, let me know, no rush but definitely interested. I'll be watching this build, looks like it's off to a great start!
