    The Crest is still operating they have divided it into 3 separate theaters. It was a thriving business district when the Crest was built in the late 50's. It was great seeing the photo.

  16. That 36 Roadster with the twin headlights was built by a bloke 3 doors up the road from where I live now John Dark, sold it when he was called up.

    It is 1963.

    T bird has the Landau roof.

    Don't know how they do it where you live. But in those days Calif. license plates came out every so once in a while. The cam with the date that design was issued. And everybody had to get them. Your old plates were no good anymore. Then every year when you renewed, you got a small metal tab that went on over the date on your rear license plate. Much as now you get a sticker for the rear plate. So, yes that plate is of the kind first released in 1951. And looks just like all the front plates on California cars in 1955.

    that is correct. ALL cali cars registered 1951 thru december 1955 used the 1951 plates.
    and ALL cali cars registered january 1956 thru december 1962 used the 1956 plates.
    yearly updates (tab/sticker) were added only to the rear plate.
    (things have changed slightly since then)...

    Why did it have to be early? I had a 63 Galaxy with that roof. IIRC You could choose that or the fastback.
