I, too am a believer in the power of prayer. But, I think we tend to pray for the surgeon's work or medicine to cure us. Most of the time we never think that God may just intervene and take away the problem.

One of my favorite quotes is, "If you want to make God smile, just tell Him YOUR plan."

Thanks all for the prayers and kind words.. It was so nice to go out to my shop this morning and not worry about falling over dead .
Started laying out the lines for the paint on the Morris Minor. Going to the machine shop to pick up my 289 block and crank this afternoon.
Sent an order to Strange for some rear end parts.

Really got to get it in gear now.
Accepted an offer on my place here and have to be out by the end of Feb. I need the Morris Minor to be able to at least roll up on a trailer.
Still haven't found a place in Tn. yet.

I like your build, these are slick little cars. I realize this may not have the same scope as your project, but it does have a bit of hot rod royalty tied to it. Oh yeah, there are some cool burnouts at the end.

My old Morris had a custom frame I built with Mustang 2 front end and ladder bar coil over rear suspension. I built it in the basement of my house when I lived in Tn.
Like the truck, hate the wheels and the ugly LS motor. My old Morris build is my Morris Minor street rod. It shows step by step how to build one of these cars for a street car with a small block Ford.
My shocks and coil brackets came in last night , so it is time to get to work and put some suspension on this thing. Hope to have it on springs and shocks by tonight .

I hadn't looked at this thread in quite a while and was shocked to hear of your health problems. I so glad all is well and progress has resumed. You have your work cut out for you what with a move, setting up your new shop and finishing the car. Praying for your continued good health and may all the hurdles be small ones.
I'm looking forward to seeing the video when you do the first start up of the Morris!

It's a roller ! Never mind the too big tires on the front. They are just on to roll it up on the trailer to move it to Tn. I hope to be able to concentrate my efforts on it and have it race ready by June or July.
Not going to take in any more outside work until this thing is running and racing.
UPS is going to know me very well because I have to order a bunch of stuff . 20180207_102333.jpg

Thanks for all of the encouragement . It keeps me motivated. Got it a little more together this afternoon. Just need to hang the passenger door. The more that gets put on now means the less I have to pack in the moving truck. Need to build some crates for my motors . Our son came down last weekend and pick up his 65 F100 cab that I have been working on and so he had some extra room on his trailer. I loaded my blast cabinet and bandsaw and my smoker up which was a big help.
We are painting my helpers O/T pickup this week . That will be the last job before it all gets boxed up and we move to our rental house in Athens, Tn.
We couldn't find the right house and shop combo so we are going to buy land and build.
It will be an adjustment to go from a 30x 50 shop to a one car garage and a storage shed, but I will manage. Just have to find someplace to paint the Morris after I get the fabrication done. It is about 90% ready to spray.

Got some more done yesterday. Got the other door mounted and the seat mounting taken care of. Got the hood scoop mounted and the lights in. Decided to use the stock hood emblem and ornament, makes a good handle to tip the front end. Starting to look like a gasser.
Can't wait get move so I can focus on the car until it is racing. 20180209_204911 (1).jpg

20180220_094125.jpg Packing up my shop. Going to be tough going from a 30x50 to a one car garage and a storage shed until we can get the new shop built.

Picked up a Liberty prepped top loader with a Hurst inline shifter. Only 25 passes since built. Owner went to a 5 speed so he gave me a good deal on the trans. Pulled the cover and it looks brand new inside. 20180220_123123.jpg
