I think this is one of the cars that was in the hold of the ship Andrea Doria when it collided with the ship Stockholm and sunk in the Atlantic on its journey to NYC.

A few more to round things off.

Pretty sure Holdens were considerd full size.
When i think American compact i think of a Studebaker Lark or a 1960s Chevy Nova.
American cars were bigger than the Holdens and the Holdens were bigger than the British imports ( with a few exceptions ) A quick search on google just for the heck of it gave me these facts. All lengths in inches. 1955 Holden 173 , 1955 Chevy 195 , 1955 Ford Customline 197 , 1955 Austin A40 Somerset 159 , 1948 Austin A40 Devon 153 , 1962 Nova 183 , 1962 Lark 188.

I don't really know. Supposedly, he is now spending most of the year in the Jackson Hole, Wyoming area.

I was thinking the same thing but don't see any stands to pick it up and drop it at the start line and the name the wizzer is not familiar.

EJ tried a lot of things over the years, cant figure out the above engines' odd intake setup, looks like only one carb, wonder how that was for fuel distribution.

When the small block Chevy V8 began to get popular and all of the car magazines were writing about how small, light and powerful it was for a car, EJ naturally thought it would be a perfect way to get horrendous power in a motorcycle. As he says:

Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even usually surpassing knowledge. Lots of times a guy will jump into a project without knowing how far he is into something way over his head until it's almost too late to back off. This is a situation that I frequently wake up to in the middle of another adventure.
