good looking wagon - classic old matching suitcases with travel stickers works - could use them to keep tools, parts, etc in them

The vintage kart is a good idea, but I'll throw in my 2-cent modification to that. How about a vintage Soap Box Derby racer? You could throw one together fairly cheaply without having to have the engine and mechanicals to back it up.

I'd leave it as is, but if you want something 50's a cooler is the ticket.

Anything you put in the back will detract from the cool of the ride, unless it's there for a reason based on necessity. You could carry a water cooled Maxim machine gun for freak-out effect (a dummy one, of course). Or, a huge plastic pig wearing a policeman's hat, mirrored shades, and a cigar. Or, any number of things, as mentioned before, or stuff to amuse. A working miniature train set, for when you park; but, it all ends up in the same place, a display of your personal idiosyncrasies. And, the end result is a distraction. Not, that I don't like distractions. Slot racing, hundreds of hula dancers, a weather balloon blown up to fill the whole space (make sure you have dual mirrors.) Rattle snakes in cages A hundred shrunken heads (the rubber ones) dangling from the headliner. Yada Yada Yada.

  17. A sleeping bag, a gallon bottle of Gallo Sangria and some Zig Zaggs. LOL

When I was in high school I always had a small camping box ( pepper, salt oil and a skillet etc) and a sleeping bag seat cover in whatever car I owned. Sometimes I just didn't make it home for a day or two. LOL I had a '55 Ranch Wagon when I was supposed to go on my first real date with the missus but I had to sell it to pay bills that week, so I showed up on my motorcycle to pick her up. Her dad walked out and said, "Well at least you didn't;'t show up in that damned wagon." :D

Hey can I borrow that in August?

How about a 50's cheerleader on a blanket? Would even let you drop that seat! Just a thought.....

If you must have something back there then i'm on board with just an old cooler or old suitcase with extra parts and tools in otherwise I am with the group that say nothing at all.

what are you going to do if you are on a road cruise and find something neat you want to pickup far from home? No room back there because you want to drive around trying to persuade thieves to break a window or damage your doors to steal that neat old gocart, scooter, board, whatchamacallit or whatever other doodad you have back there.

    Nice looking wagon,

My great uncle Gene had the same car when I was little and he always had his fishing poles in the back . that would have been around 1961, I was 6 at the time. So if it was me ,a picnic basket and a couple vintage spinning reals would be cool. have fun Larry

  28. LOL my uncle wells used to take me fishin when I was about that age in that time frame, he had 4 boys so a gaggle of kids would also be a good thing to display in the back of a wagon as well.
