Leave the black wheels, and slam that bad boy. Lowering is the easy part. Drop axle and reverse eye spring front, coil overs and a frame notch rear.

After lowering vehicles for a few years, I can honestly say that your truck will look cool either way. But nothing drives better than a stock height truck. If you ever need to "use it" as a truck, you will be glad you did. Some nice rims will definitely do the trick.

I rebuilt the motor and got it together so it would run good, even the 4 speed is still strong but no synchros so I had to learn to double clutch. I get it to 65 mph and then peg the throttle and it still wants to climb so the isky 400 jr is doing its job. It's really fun to drive.

 

Sounds like a lot of fun Jerry! Nothing is sweeter than a well running vintage engine.

Here's a late model that I liked real well. Probably not what anyone wants to see and it may not count as a hot rod. LOL

 

I raced my T RPU against this A and lost by 1 length. JW
