Here's James Handy's channeled, track-nosed Deuce Roadster: LODI '73 image from the Tom Branch "Street Is Neat" Collection NOTE: This roadster was originally built by Paul Harris in 1948 ... It ran at Bonneville in '50 (went 131.19 mph before breaking a rear axle) ... held the closed course speed record at the San Jose Speedway in '51: ... and was the “Competition Sweepstakes” winner at the '61 Oakland Roadster Show.

Yes ... I’ve got dozens of pics of GOMER’s cars ... but none at the ‘73 LODI event That stated, stay tuned ... because I’m thinking about expanding this thread to cover the ‘74 & ‘75 LODI events. P.S.: Next time you see Jim, tell ‘em Todd (Bruce’s “kid”) says Hi!
As mentioned earlier in this thread, the LODI '74 (2nd Annual West Coast Street Rod Mini-Nats) event was hosted by the Northern California Street Rod Association (NCSRA) ... with Gary Meadors as the Event Director and several others (including my father) helping to coordinate the event.
