Hambers, had to get in on this thread. After many years of searching I finally got my dream car. It was in a carpenter shop for 38 years. Only has 32K miles. Came with a pile of parts. It's now done and ready for the road. Still has the original Brewster green medium paint. Dash and inside mouldings were cleaned and reinstalled. Car came with NOS rear fenders, 25 louver hood and near new front fenders.

DDDenny, I knew about the car for several years. The owner was an avid 32 Ford collector. He would always say he bought 32 stuff not sell it. A good friend called one day and said the fellow had passed away and had told his wife that I was interested in the coupe. A meeting took place and I bought the car and the related parts. It is in remarkable shape. I believe the saw dust it was covered in saved it from moisture. All the original glass except the windshield is still intact. Doors have never been off the car. Only had a taste of rust along both wheel wells and in r/s cowl. I tried to keep the use of reproduction parts to a minimum. Original chassis is stored less powertrain in my basement. Grille shell insert still has grey paint on it. I did the hot rod thing so I could drive it. The wheels are magnesium Halibrands. Engine is SBC with 4 speed trans just because I had them. Nothing on the car has been done that can't be put back as Henry made it. Thanks for asking.

Joe, this is testament to the phrase "start with the best car you can afford". NOS parts never hurts either.

    Make a great license plate.
Your previous photos of the wheels wasn't close enough to tell for sure (old eyes) but I just assumed they were Real Rodder wheels.
Curious what treatment you did on the Halibrands.

DD, Again the wheels have been on the shelf for years. They were polished to start with and I had a guy powder coat them (no more gibbs or polish). He used a three step process. After bead blast they were coated in dull aluminum then coated with a translucent gold that allows the silver to show through. Then they were clear coated with matte clear. A labor intensive and costly process but well worth it. Tried to capture the look of an off the shelf dow 7 coated Halibrand. License plate will read BRN FIND.

I believe this to be my coupe (post 592 ), in the mid ‘60s, - approximately 15 years before I had it. Still trying to confirm this.
