I built this car while I was in high school. 1923 Model T. Did all the work myself with the guidance of some old timers and painting training from my father. About five years ago I was away from home for a couple years and my parents divorced after 25 years. In a ****** hell of a divorce everything was painstakingly split up and since I had never actually gotten the ***le in my name, my car was on the chopping block as well. To make a long story short, my mother won my car and immediately sold it without my knowledge. My mother refuses to give me any information whatsoever as the the whereabouts of my T and I have searched far and wide with no success at all. So, If anyone here has seen this car anywhere, I would greatly appreciate any lead at all as to its location. I know its a long shot, but at this point I am out of ideas. Thank you all for looking and I am crossing my fingers someone may recognize this car.
I haven't seen it but it may prove helpful for you to give a general area/location. Where was it when it was sold?
Sold in November of 2013 in Quincy, IL and the only info I could find out was that my brother heard her say it went to a southern state. She did sell hers at the same time. It was a red 1915 T Roadster with wood wheels. Her car won the Illinois Secretary of State show twice. I have very little to go on other than that. Unbelievable to me too because the model t world is such an everyone knows or has heard of everyone atmosphere. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
You might try changing ***le of thread to 'looking for Model T speedster from Quincy IL' or something to get more attention. There's also someone who posts here quite a bit from Quincy, name escapes me at the moment. EDIT: found name, try contacting member @Hnstray
What scotts52 said! The Ford Barn has a sub-forum dedicated to model T's and if anyone knows the whereabouts of your car you can probably find them there. Although I have never done it, you might also try a google image search. You may be able to get a lead that way as well. Good Luck with the search. If you do find your car please report back and give us an update. PS: you should also consider updating your profile with your general location information. It is helpful for other HAMBers to know the general location of members.
