4Spd I took my items out of the pillow packs to photograph them and it dawned on me as I surfed the web in the wee hours that they are not the section below the grill (I rec'd these in a box of OEM and patch parts along with the C.O.E. from P.O.). These are patch panels for the lower fenders immediately adjacent to that structure; these are the sections as I said before with the slots for bumper rails. Sorry for my mistake, but I had thought that was what the P.O. told me they were when he explained what was in the box, and I have had that idea in my head for the past 3 years I have been sitting on these parts. I compared the parts to an online photo I saw early a.m. See attached link and look at the slots on the front of this truck. My parts are lower inside fender patches (a somewhat triangular patch) including the belt line section and slot formed to accommodate the grille and lower valence. http://coetrucks.atwebpages.com/Skips.19.html I am not planning to use them, but I still wish to keep them at this point. IF you still want photos I can do that. Otherwise your search continues...
Obviously, I own a Northern Classic repro gravel pan, but it's installed on my truck. Would installed pics work or would I need to pull it?
Sure, if it's easy enough I'd like to take a peak at those. I was working on that area yeasterday and I think I may be able to save the piece that's there on my truck. The bottoms of the fenders are torn, crumpled and generally fubar. Thanks again Spag
thanks Rick- I was thinking there was something else that I don't have in that area, but if the pic that Spag posted is correct and complete, then I'm gonna be ok with the piece I have.

I will do that then. My way of contributing and saying thanks relative to what I have gained knowledge-wise from reading these build posts. It will be a few days now though as I have to attend to another LIFE priority for a few days.
No problem, I appreciate it. I think I know what they are- and am trying to track them down. I think I’ll post a pic of what mine looks like, then you guys will at least have something to laugh about. It looks like my mother in law maybe had the job of parallel parking this truck.. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
.... and now it's for sale! I think my checking account is just a bit shy. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/rvs/d/1939-ford-coe-and-1930s/6431910171.html
That’s the rig that started my love affair with Coes. I saw it driving around town 10-15 years ago and it knocked my socks off!
That does look interesting, hope he didn't discover a fatal flaw in his design and is now dumping it.
Wondering if it is steering linkage has him stumped? Or perhasp too many other projects on the go? he certainly seems to have a lot of potential projects in the bckgd.
NOT mine - 47 Ford COE grill/hood. Seller dropped price to $800, looks complete with emblem and very solid. https://kansascity.craigslist.org/pts/d/ford-coe-hood-grille/6421657856.html

Many times I think the year becomes whatever the****le you have says it is, irregardless of the numbers. On paper mine is a 48, in reality it is a 47, but in my case they at least look the same. Sure looks older than 47 to me!
