my 29 is the red one , friend's black 29 and my 33 in the back

 

Is this engine photoshopped? Rear distributor ford with sbc exhaust pattern????

 

Most likely it is a SBC with Ford covers. Seen some with Olds Rocket and Lincoln covers also. JW

 

Worked on my 40 Ford truck hotrod Sat. finished up tacking in front floors and hung the doors

That's the story behind the extremely rare Australian Ford engine in my 1936 Super Deluxe Pickup. It is quite appropriate, I think, because it is an extremely rare pickup.

I'll also point out that the Super Deluxe Pickup of that year also has the same stainless waterfall that does NOT have a hole for a crank out windshield that also came in the cabriolets, convertible sedans, and woodies.

I'm also pleased to report that I did find my Australian Street Rod Federation patch that was graciously given to me some years back by Steve Wilson along with some treasured magazines from "down under." I love those guys.

The Australians I had the pleasure of meeting at the LARS in 2016 were good mates and some of our LARS 2016 Roadster Express gang got to spend a fair amount of time with them and greatly enjoyed their company. Here's a picture of both gangs coming together for dinner at the LARS in 2016:

View attachment 3811658 Ok, I know some of you have seen this so here I go, this is "the" BADDEST truck on the HAMB. Stock inline 250 (probably twice the HP of original , auto trans AND 2:73 gears , all from a 72 Nova !!!. It is sort of sluggish ,,,,
BUT,,,,,it's does have Cragar SS wheels, so there !!! It is more bad-*** then the sssshhhhh.... (Taco) I drive daily though. View attachment 3811658

 

Absolutely Perfect in every way... It's Marry Poppins, in truck form.

 

If you look at the rocker cover flange you will notice adapters between the head rail and the rocker cover. Someone probably got tired of hearing belly ****on and decided to change it.

Exactly Beano, being in New Zealand and so close to Australia, I know a bit about their truth percentages. JW

 

LOL there has never been a real hot rodder or street racer either for that matter that was totally honest and some of us are just out and out liars.
