    Used the mill and made a new and improved u-bolt carriage. There are two locating pins on the bottom. New at this so learning as I go. Used rounding bits to cut the radius like a steel router! So cool-

    IMG_0227.jpg

    This is crazy- the oil filter relocator tips the can the same angle as the frame rail! Pure luck-

    IMG_0228.jpg

    Stoked with how the front end is wrapping up- the new top shift lasalle freed up a ton of space!

    IMG_0236.jpg

    I’m changing up the trans mount a bit, what’s cool is that I’ll be able to run a full size fan! Stoked on this-

    Will there be notches in the front frame rails for the leaf spring?

    Good looking ch***is. Like the way you got a better front shock angle.
    You've got some nice toys in that shop.

    Just a Q- how close will any exhaust pipe be to the filter? And, being able to change the filter? Rain down on starter when changed? Only hoping to prevent unforeseen things is all...........Other than that=Rock On!;)

    Thanks man- Starter is on the other side, open hedders with collectors down each side- no issues I can see. It’s my favorite vintage aftermarket hemi part that I’ve found so far (-; it’s a long ways away from the exhaust just doesn’t look like it in that pic-

    [emoji1360]The relocator is a SP product I’ve never seen another- the valley pan was cast by my buddy Christopher. The coolest looking valley pan I’ve ever seen. (-;

    I may razz ya a lot about the other child but you are doing a incredible job on this too. Your a very influential dude and I believe this roadster will be better than this car. I’m not ashamed to say I liked this one either.

  12. You mean like a C notch? Hard to tell, there's probably more clearance than we can tell in the photo. Whatever the case, love how this ch***is is coming out!

    @gimpyshotrods He is selling them- I'll post his contact info. I think I have enough clearance on the frame, I did cut out the lower lip and all but notched it where it was visual on the side. Like @31chevymike said there is more room there than you think by looking at these pics.

    @Runnin shine Ha- I dig that coupe a lot. Not the biggest fan of the grill shell fangs but but everything else rules!!! I know man I can't wait to get back on my coupe too!

    @Rocky :) Thanks man!! I can't wait to take you for a rip in this thing-
    @vtwhead Me too sometimes!! :) Thanks man-
    @30tudor Thank you sir!

    Update-
    I made clutch linkage that goes from the z-bar to the clutch fork.
    I cut out the casting in the lower for the clutch fork on the mill and using a hole saw.
    I shortened the clutch fork one inch.
    I started the hunt for a starter and found one- Rick (desoto6x2) helped me out! I needed a starter without the solenoid on the top with the lever... I needed it like the picture. The one I had for mock up went though the fire. He's sending me a 12v version that'll work with extended bells. I have a 146 tooth aluminum fly.

    All seemingly smalls stuff... but I'm looking at it this way... I have pedals and linkage that work for the clutch and brake.

    I also worked on the trans mount. Roughed that in place. Altered the trans mount bracket. This isn't done but close.

    Ch***is is getting closer all the time.

    Sorry I haven't had more updates. Our kids have been sick, before that we ended up getting hit by a guy in a f150 and it totaled the JudasPrius. Everyone is safe, nobody hurt except for the goose egg on my head. I'm bummed about the loss of my favorite shooter of all time but I have an awesome family. My father in law gave me his old Prius because they were looking for a new one anyway. Very thankful for him... insurance didn't pay me much for my old one... not enough to replace what I had anyway. Hopeful to get another day in the shop this weekend. I look forward to it all week.

    Heres some pics of the kids :)
    We went to the BMX track on Sunday- Little Mooney is just about big enough for a balance bike and Maple is transitioning to a Micro Mini pedal bike to compete on the big hills.

    OMG! Maple has your exact eyes! Spooky.....hey, I got the shirts...thanks man
    The ch***is photo is outrageous! The hemi dwarfs everything else in that photo! BTW, that hemi I sold you had a 56 Chrysler starter....the only 12 volt starter with....ah ****! Now I forget why a 56 is so special... No, I think 56 is the only 12 volt starter with the correct starter drive tooth count Anyway, I was able to score it from a good buddy. Did the starter make it through the fire? Did you use it to fire up that hemi [video of that day was a CL***IC when the hemi lit off...haha!
    That LaSalle trans is *****! I'd have to build the car's floor below the trans to let it be seen.

    The starter didn’t make it- but the hemi did! (-; Thanks man! I’m planning on chroming the trans so we will see- maybe I’ll need a plexigl*** bubble trans cover or something (-:

    I remember buying this hemi from you- and selling my first ever hemi to a H.A.M.B.er in California. I can’t remember who now though... roadfarmer? so glad I did that- this one rules- it was bored out to 354 and had speed goodies inside as well as that rad 4x1 intake it came with.

    It’s gonna be epic when I fire this thing up and drive it around the block... lots of memories good and bad with trying to build this damn roadster.

    I won’t give up until it’s done!

  30. What else can be said that has been mentioned before Tuck... Your ch***is just screams PURE HOT ROD nostalgia - a goal that I will be at with my own! Besides all the chrome plating that you plan to do, what color do you envision for your ch***is?
