The rear fender radius is lower so you really can't match them without having too much suspension rake.
I think your truck is Great! You have big and littles tires. And to me the only one that matters is you. You got a nice ride.
Sorry here is my ride and has the same rake. Of course the boys over at Photo Shop Candied up the paint all apart now but you get the Idea. Not to but into this thread But I did sorry.
I drive both my F1 (over 30 years) and my M3 a lot and have found the five (5) inches at the front of the running board is a key measurement, unless you like repairing the running boards after you drop off a speed bump. Thweet looking trucks!
Not if it pleases you. I personally like your truck. We try to balance the difference in the fender radius. Also when F1 trucks get too low it can be a pain to get the rear tires on and off. I ran into that with the 20" rears on my personal F1 as shown.
Swap meet season is coming, I can see what is out there. Have you tried Donn Pool in Blaine Lake, Sask.?
Gonna install door glass tomorrow. Primed and painted the hood today. Gonna seal the bed wood tonight. Getting closer!
Nice work! love the color. What brackets are you running for Alternator/AC? I run a 302 Ford/C-4 in my F-1. Jim
One we did for a lady also has the 302, Aod, 8.8 Explorer 3.73. I don't think she will fall asleep in the interior color she chose.
Hood is on, door glass installed and working on the seat assembly. Gonna cut 2" of height out of the seat base to lower the sitting position. Customer wanted the stock seat retained so it's going down.
Love the truck. These 51/52 Ford trucks are really gaining in popularity,we have 3 members of our club that have this style truck and having ridden in these trucks they are pretty comfortable. HRP
Thanks Danny. Randy and I both are looking forward to getting some time in on our sedans before the weather breaks so this one needs to leave soon. He's working on a '37 and I have a few more items on my latest '32 to square away.
Hey, been watching this and the Chevy build and really enjoying them. Since you do a number of them I was wondering if you’d tell what you use to lubricate the window regulators? I am about to install mine on my avatar no-longer-HAMB-friendly ‘55 Chevy. I had them sandblasted and painted them silver but the gear behind the handle shaft is nearly sealed and riveted on. I have been thinking of somehow getting some white lithium grease in there, but maybe you have a better idea? Thanks in advance, Dan
Exactly how I do it! I usually soak rusty ones in my parts cleaner for a couple of days before getting them prepped. Most are broken trying to move them before soaking.
here is my 52, camero running gear.......I'm sure you know that yours has a 52 hood emblem.........real nice job
Thanks. That's a used hood we found. There aren't many used parts around for '51-'52 F1 trucks. Especially front sheet metal.
very nice work! you guys have hit my soft spot! sure like these f ones! had a couple over the years. want another after seeing your work. could ya tell me what year on the rear end housing you use? thanks.
