  9. ^ Quite a few MD tracks in there, unfortunately most are long gone. Cecil Dragway is having a little racing action and a swap meet this Saturday. I hope to be there.

They must have done good to have a finals T on the windshield.

Double H Drag Strip, Blue Ridge, GA, 1965. Pretty sure one of Robert Nance's cars is in the right lane. Could be both of them -- 64 vs. 65, with Nance against James Lake.

This one brings back some fun times - Thunder Valley Dragways in Marion, SD. The two '55's in post 37 were taken there too. Guessing you found those on the net?
Stewart School of Hairstyling (Stewart Hairstylists on the sign by starter's stand) used to sponsor a hemi-powered Mopar super stocker called the "Hairbender" that ran Thunder Valley on a regular basis. Pretty sure I have a pic somewhere, I'll have to look.

I cannot think of a better era to have grown up in then the 60's and 70's
Today's drag racing just does not seem to even come close to the racing from the 60's
Just the opinion of an old man

I agree 100%! I'd rather see these old cars doing 11s then this new stuff doing single digits...

Kind of hard to tell but I thought they were Cragar Super Tricks, the below HAMB thread has a pretty comprehensive timeline, says introduced in 1970.
    I bought mine in 1976/77.
