Fabricated this Hilborn-style injection set-up for my FED. Bought stacks and butterflies, built the rest. Ran great...haven’t seen the dragster in years, may be in Denver area. [IMG][IMG]

I made wood patterns for the interior of my 33 C400 for the B pillars , above the doors and Sail panel with recess for interior lamps , then hammered aluminum over the wood , removed the wood and covered everything with leather , lined the door panels and behind rear seat with aluminum as well , also shaped aluminum over the interior rear wheel wells and made an access door to the trunk area, all covered with Leather

made the tray.the panel beneath the tray...the ford script is pressed into the panel...altered the chassis that much that you may as well say it is homemade
    [IMG]
that front panel started out as a flat sheet of tin...the headlight surrounds.the nerf bar
    [IMG]
the extractors and the whole exhaust sytem, mudgaurds and brackets, tray tilt system....4 inch chop and 4 inch channel
not much on the car that is not home made

I made this bracket from a piece of angle iron. Cut a little piece off, turned it and welded it back on

Henrys Model A coupe trunk floor was a serious compromise so he could have a rumble seat but it wasted a lot of room. I use my car as a daily driver and wanted all the space I could get so I designed and installed a dropped floor. The rumble seat was changed to a trunk. The before paint picture shows the 'spotwelds' made with 1/8" 6011 welding rod droppedfloornopaint.jpg droppedfloor.jpg

    A few other things...
Side pipe hangers from Chevy truck lever shock arms. I guess thats repurposing more than fabricating...but I still had to make it all work and look correct.

    2016-03-25 14.41.57.jpg

Rad shroud using a junkyard electric fan. Stopped the overheating issue right in its tracks!

    2016-03-27 19.35.24.jpg

U joint cover to go between box and firewall. Seals everything up nice and tight.

    2015-07-19 16.40.59a.jpg

Roll bar from a sliced & diced Land Cruiser bar...some flanges and a piece of 2x3 tube.

    2014-05-30 21.06.25.jpg

Brushed finish aluminum firewall from a repurposed old road sign. (and yes...the ugly ribbed plastic is now off the throttle cable! LoL)

Manyolcars, what did you do with the end of the trunk drain troughs so that they don't dump water into your new trunk floor?

This is what I did for the gutter drains. Once the original panels are all in place this is all closed off and unseen.

That's beautiful. I want to do the same to a '40 Oliver tractor grille shell but with stainless tube.

Figured I'd go ahead and post pics of my model A frame. Scratch built from 2x4" tube, rear xmember scratch built from 2x3 tube.

A lot of cool fab on here. I've been making headers for my 348. Drivers side and passenger side, tri y equal-ish length. Drivers side had to miss the steering box which was a massive pain, a lot more room on the passenger side, but still a lot of bendy bits

  25. My guess is that tubular control arms, regardless if they are MII or not, fall in that area (which often seems murky)of being too modern. Nice work by the way.

absolutely off topic. here is the section of the rules that covers that. I thought you had read it.

    5. As mentioned throughout these guidelines, the H.A.M.B. focuses on TRADITIONAL hot rods and customs. Posts pertaining to traditionally inspired, but not quite period perfect belong on the main forum found here. Please note that we don't focus on things such as modern fuel injected motors, big-inch wheels, frame clips, after market independent suspensions, etc... at all on the H.A.M.B.. As such, posts that stray away from the "traditional inspired" will be deleted.

I hope my comments are not the kiss of death for your post, but I like it and it should be respected taking into account the thread title and the effort put into the product produced.
In saying that there is also an old time independent rear thread running which in some cases could have exactly the same looking materials just fabricated in a different age and manner.

    Thanks @Moriarity,
    Of course I read it,
I thought it would be ok here because it's not a frame clip or "after market" and fabricated by my hands to my design. My bad.
