Vintage shots from days gone by!

In those days around '63, they were calling themselves Caesar and Cleo. They dressed in white outfits with black hair. Sonny had a Caesar cut hairdo. They would hang out at a club on Sunset Blvd. we used to frequent. They didn't perform and had not released their first record yet. Sonny was working deals at a table toward the rear and trying to encourage Cher. I remember hearing him say to her, "You were great, baby. Don't pay attention to them. You are the best!" Within a year of that, they had a hit.

The show was set in NC. It was filmed in Los Angeles. The lake where they fish in the opening is Malibu Lake.

 

Yes, that is what he is referring to, not the Continental kit. Look at the photo and whatever she is holding looks as he describes.
