I'm just flabberghasted. The completeness of undercar to the great choice of Lincoln 'apertures'.
The headlights are perfectly matched to the streamlined shape of the body, but the park lamps that echo the design? Ingenious.
I'll repeat what one of the brothers said in a previous post: "BEST Packard I've ever seen".
I used to work on Packards throughout my apprenticeship, at Mayfield's Garage in Santa Clara. My quarry were straight eights.

This is no longer a Street Rod.

Let's start calling it a very cool CUSTOM.

Thanks again guys. When building a car you have a vision but that vision is not always pleasing to the majority. You just hope you haven't got people thinking what the hell was he thinking. I'm sure their is some but the response has been positive Thanks. On another note it may not be a traditional custom ( Only because it has coil overs front and rear) but everything else is traditional. And who would want to leave crappy old steering and suspension in something like this car anyways. Just my 2 cents worth.

Just a little progress report. Body back on frame. Exhaust and heat shields and one trim panel made for inside trunk. Received chrome and not to happy. We sent a beautiful center grille and got back a destroyed grille now searching for another grille so we can try again. Have to make two more rear window runs and try again. Not impressed. I hope to see more of this build. Also sad to hear that a chrome shop ruined that grille! Not an easy core to locate.

Mind outing the chrome shop that buggered the grille? & what, if anything, they are going to do about it? Folks should be known for their quality of work, & also for the lack of it. & rewarded properly. Stuff happens, it's how they fix the issue is what's important.

The chrome shop was in Texas. They took the cost of the Grille chroming an the two window runs off the bill and paid for half of another grille. We were able to purchace a beautiful military grille in Ca. it was a raw untouched grille. I still would never send them any chroming jobs.

What wonderful lines this car has! Were the vent windows handmade or adapted from something else? Any plans for bumpers or nerfs?

Vent window frames and all window frames and trim were hand made. Not using any bumpers. image.jpeg image.jpeg

What a fantastic car. Great work.
I notice the fenders look a lot different on the "before" photos, in the area between the headlights and the grille. Did you swap them out for some newer versions, or modify them?

Every time I see the skill of the HAMB I think WOW!! This is the best and then another project comes along and blows your mind. Thank you for taking the time to share your vision and skill.
