Yeah, I have (and have run) '53 Olds, aftermarket smoothies, 1952 Lincoln, the '52 Imperials in my first photo, and currently '55 Olds. I just can't decide which way to go next.

The old "pull paper out of a hat blindfolded" trick might help then ...or maybe a magic 8ball?

Looks like the "police" pulled the race truck request.

Hey photoshoppers, is it possible to refine or refocus this pic so I can read the signs in front of the car? Thank you! !cid_20AA0FD9-D3E3-494E-93E4-0BEA03CF0B88.jpg

I´m afraid you´ve been watching too much CSI. My photoshop doesn´t have the "enhance" button that theirs does.

  7. If you can sketch something up that shows what the signs say I might be able to reproduce them...

Ah, the Myth of Infinite Resolution. Back in the days of film the story did the rounds that someone had the idea to tape up their car's number plate, don a balaclava, and race through a camera trap several times in succession. Story was, he got caught after they blew up the picture and read his details off the licence disc on the windscreen. In reality – especially considering the grainy fast films they'd likely have used for the purpose – the entire disc would have been a single flake of silver halide.

I was able to restore the photo a bit so it looks more presentable.
I copied the sign section an processed it to play with the clarity and contrast. Still no CSI, though!
The owner's? name looks like Don (or Ron) Hackley
The builder's? name may be Rodger, but that's all I can make out.

Boy, we get some strange requests here sometimes.
Anyway: lowered, twin flower pots, a scoop and some mags.

Thanks in advance, this is such a fun thread. Here’s the first side shot picture I’ve got of the car yet.

I’m thinking of starting with 2-3” of static drop and wheels painted the same colour would be a good place to start. But I love to see the creativity that you guys have in this thread so please have fun with it.

    Cheers.

I know that requests are keeping the photoshop knowledgeable people busy, so I am not sure if this is a good time for me to ask a favor too.
Thank you everyone for the service you guys provide.
I have a small dilemma in deciding what paint job my Hawk deserves next.
I built it from a basket of rusty parts when I was 23 yrs old in the 1970s. At first I painted it black lacquer.
Then in 1985, about the time my kids were very little, I painted it a bright red with a long lasting Ditzler Urethane. My kids grew up with this as the family car.
Now the paint is old again and looking horrible, and my now grown kids tell me I'm too grown up (ha!) to have a "midlife crisis, old man red" color on the Hawk.
It has been suggested that I should now have a more mature color like blue or green.... a classier look ?
I really really like the color scheme on this 57 Chevy, but I donno how to translate that awesome paint scheme to the Hawk and make the two tone color work right.
I still like red, but does anyone have a really classy color scheme I should try? no flats or satins.
And the chrome ain't what it used to be, so a painted chrome look might be considered too.
Thank you very much for ideas on what I could do!
P.S. I am very impressed by the look of this blue and black Chevy, but am not sure how to lay it out properly on a Hawk.
    Suggestions greatly apreciated. thank you.
