Bob, I have three more Coker Classics, a set of 4 bias ply wide whites, so lots of sacrificial offerings to the Gods of Speed. ;)

  5. You read right oldsjoe. Topped out @ 112 & it isn't even close to July. Might have to order up some 6 ply tires.

  7. That’s exactly what I was thinking too. I didn’t want to be critical but I wasn’t feeling the other wheels and tires.

    Really neat car.

Thanks, no offense taken. Not everybody feels the wires and radials. I have to say that I'm amazed at how well it drives with the bias ply tires, although I admit it does "hunt" for a line, and requires a LOT of driver input compared to the radials. They go straight.

38528935_10217668132757740_3698157194806558720_n.jpg I've been driving the wheels off the '34 (quite literally, if I count the time the left rear exited the car because I didn't have the knock off tightened with a lead hammer), and it's been FUN. I've gotten most of the little bugs out, mostly all my fault, the car is fun, quick, and gets lots of compliments. I'm waiting for a turn signal switch now for the '61 T'bird column that resulted in the brake lights not working along with the turn signals, and the top isn't done yet, but, I'm really enjoying the car. Everywhere I take it somebody says, "I followed your build on the HAMB", so, thanks for watching, all the encouragement and advice. It's been a fun ride!

I saw your car for sale thread and just had to read this whole thread, absolutely brilliant a great read and a fantastic build. I’m also building a glass 34 roadster so felt your pain lol. Good luck with the sale someone is going to have a great car for little money.

It was a steel sedan but the kids have grown up and I’ve always wanted a roadster but a steel one is out of my price range! I’m building it outside here in the UK so the going is painfully slow.

Did you notice he said he's building it OUTSIDE? In the UK. How many days does rain there? Like, 300 in a year? Amazing!

All I can add is “Thank God and DuPont for the development of Fiberglass”. Many can say what they will, but I’ve see what salt does to metal and it’s not pretty to say the least. Both the 32’s and the 34 Roadsters sit out 365-1/4 days a year, Luckily in So-Cal we don’t get the weather like some do around the world. @Besty34 , I admire your tenacity in accomplishing your desire to have a 34 Roadster. Congrats!
