Saw a pair of Comets at a shop in Sunnyvale CA today. Both are going to be for sale shortly. The 4 door is running already and they are working on getting the 2dr hardtop running. Both cars have Washington plates. They appear to be slightly rough but seem to be complete and I didn't notice any significant rust. Apparently both belonged to a regular customers father who passed away and he wants them fixed up to sell. I don't really have anymore details about them but I don't forsee either of them being "a bargain".

    Hello,
Woody's Diners have an item similar to the Ruby's chain for young kids and old grandfathers. It is a cool 57 Chevy convertible fold out table top display. (There are also a Thunderbird, and a 55 & 56 Chevy for a variety.) The food is great, the atmosphere was fun, and the other locations should have as much nostalgia as any branch of this restaurant chain. We really wanted that 57 convertible...!

This Newport Beach location had "Hollywood Kleig-style lights" lining up the whole entrance and walkway. The Newport International Film Festival was just across the sidewalk, including the "Red Carpet." Small town doings...for big time events.

Went to a friends place yesterday and saw this sort of cool '34 Pontiac 2-door sedan. The story is that a guy used it to paint houses back in the day and had an air compressor mounted in the back seat area.

The body is rough, but not rusted. The suspension has been cut off and has been sitting for about 20 years. My friend bought it to build a street rod, but never got to it. It probably could be had cheap.

I saw this just a couple of hours ago down the street from the Joliet (Illinois) Correctional
Center. The fellow that owns this also had a '66 Impala SS for sale and that was the car I
    was interested in.

Didn't have time yesterday so I'll post it today.
    Saw this heading south:

And a few hours saw this heading back north, all thru my rear view mirror:

Was a 12 hour day. Hauled the Pro Street Fairmont south a few hours, deadheaded back home and hauled the parts car for it back down to the new owner. Then on the return trip brought the '32 "kit" home for a friend to work on. I have enough to do in my shop, he gets to put this one together.
