I love the wheels that are on it. I know they aren't traditional old school but always been a favorite of mine.

Hmmm I’ll make you a great deal on them....the rears are offset to wide. The car isn’t really drivable with them on there, if you hit a bump it sounds like the rear ends gonna explode...and then you realize...no that’s the quarter panel getting flexed all to hell. So it’s parked until I get the rims and tires ordered up and put on

PM me about the details. You can keep the tires if you need them.

Ok....front wheels..torque thrust old style..full polished or cast grey for the front? I gotta say I can’t stand all the fully polished new style torque thrust wheels I see today..but I saw these live vs what everyone’s running today and I was torn! Think I’m gonna do chrome OE style aka chrome reverse on the back.

Mixed wheels (TT front, chrome reversed on back) look 'budget'.
Those 'strange sidewall' tires mentioned a few posts back were found on lots of these 'little' cars.
I think the sidewalls were shaped weird because of the extra 'Porta-Wall White' ring that AMT put in there. :D

Really ... hell I’ll save 100 bucks putting Americans on all 4 wheels..when did those things get so cheap...and I’ve got to run pro tracs and the racemaster muscle car tires are period for the car..I seem to see lots of pics of thunderbolts and old super stock cars with mixed rims though

I'd do the Torq Thrusts all around...Besides, the T-Bolts and Super Stockers usually had those steel wheels painted Factory black, with slicks or Firestone Darlingtons rolled onto them...
A good $avings, as you say...My pal Kenny got 4 of them (Americans) for his '65 Falcon Ranchero last week...less than $100 each! Kenny's having a similar (SAME!) problem with 'tire squeeze' in rear... Hah! I have a '54 Ford Coupe...SAME problem! Think I'm gonna hafta shallow-tub on the inside, don't want to radius the body! (406, heavy 3 speed, need some BIG skins back there)

I had a 65 Cyclone convertible that I raced in AHRA stock eliminator back in the 60's. It had D spoke's that I bought from J.C. Penny's when they had speed parts and a automotive center. They had them in 14x5 and I used 6.95x14 on the front. On the rear I was limited to a 15x7 wheel and a 7 inch slick so I used a J.C. Penny brand 8.20x15 and had to roll the inside lip with a wooden baseball bat to bulge 1/4's slightly and massage the front edge of the fender well to clear the tire. Just enough to clear and not enough for the tech inspectors to bust me.

Aghhh 54 Ford Tire issues...had one of those too! And yes less than 100 bucks per wheel shipped to my door! The rim company’s don’t seem to offer much in the way of offsets anymore..
