The trunk was too wide at the bottom, I hated to do it but I ripped it and ripped it. Now it fits the hole 1524837893850.jpg

I felt the deck skin was going to need a ton of fabrication to make it work.
The decklid that was on the car is f-ed too but less so. But it has hinges, inner skin, and it was already fitted.
So I welded up the hole where the handle goes KIMG0296.JPG

Replaced the cable from solenoid to starter and moved the ballast resistor, put on the 97 carb and topped it off with one of Jere Sheehan's air cleaners KIMG0309.JPG

Looking good Ron. Those guys in Jersey are all starting to feel your heat.
Sorry I didn't get to meet up with you in Fitchburg this year, as I intended. Perhaps I'll see you in Epping, or at another event.

Stopped to check out a '30 coupe 8 miles from home... previous owner set up a spring loaded belcrank to convert an under dash push pull knob to vertical motion... he ran a push button equipped solenoid upside down... when he pulls the knob the shaft pushes down on the button, starting his A... pretty cool...

I had my brother wire up an ignition switch and a starter button. It feels like a racecar when I start it. Pretty cool

    Got an email from Flash,
I need to cut out of work early and "number up" my car for the TROG race card. Going to be a busy afternoon. I will send pictures when I'm done.

I had 3x on the car from last year. So I had to sand it off, and re brush the quarter. Then free-handed the new number. My wife's birthday KIMG0339.JPG KIMG0334.JPG

Ronnie DOES run a 327- in his '57! with tri-power and a 4 speed no less. ANOTHER car he saved from disappearing into the ground.

I am planning to put shocks on the roadster, I found these at the NED swap meet. I want to mount them on the cross member and attach to the top of the rear axle. KIMG0368.JPG
