Thanx, man. Looks a lot different in reality than it did in my peabrain. I think I like it but am going to spend quite some time staring at it. Sherry likes it. This is probably what it will look like soon.

Any chance of dropping in some cream colored steelies with small caps and trim rings? Or American 5 spokes? Or kidney beans?

I would like to see the 40 with the top of the side windows brought down to being level with the bottoms and the crown of the top flattened down to lower the top about 4", the rest looks very good as it is!

Something a bit different. Just remember that no actual original cars were hurt in the production of this rendering.....

I think what people forget is these are not real cars we're messing with. It's just altering an image. The challenge, for us who play with photoshop, is to try and make it look realistic. What should be measured is whether or not we did a good enough job to convince you the altered image is real.

Thanks Moose, I like it but would make a couple of small alterations if I was actually doing it with a real 40 coupe. You guys do a great service and allow us to see what it will look like instead of having to tear into it and wishing you had done it different.

I understand why traditional builders wouldn't do it. To my eyes though, you've done such a good job with the rendering that its still a cool ride that would brighten my day if I saw it driving around. Maybe it should be built from a fiberglass body, then no one could complain about "cutting up a classic". Or even better, show off by making it from scratch in new steel.

Keep up the awesome work everyone [emoji41] [emoji106]

I have posted more than a couple of requests on this thread (mostly on behalf of other HAMB-ers). Each time, one of you has stepped up and helped make it (virtual) reality.

Thank you, again, for each of those renderings. And thank you, in advance, for any requests you indulge in the future.

Maybe it's because of the nearly instant gratification, but this is probably my favorite thread on the HAMB!

1949_1950_FORD_CAR_STEERING_WHEEL-EARLY_FORD_STORE-CALIFORNIA.jpg Moose, could you make these steel wheels gold, like the steering wheel center, leaving the caps/rings in place and one without them.. Thanks much!!! Paul 1950-ford-business-coupe-1.jpg

    Good Day Photoshop Gurus,

I am starting my membership of the forum with a request (I know, I know. I DID post an introduction though!):

The below is my car, a 1964 Caliente, three on the tree 289 which originally started life in Tangent, Oregon and now is here in Austria (EU). My plan for the car is a period modification for fast road work (because we have curves and mountains - lots of them). If any of you could lower the car about 2" at the front and stick (i) Halibrand kidney beans (ii) Radir Tri-Ribb IIIs or (yes) (iii) Dunlops (http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/billet-46-classic-build-alloy-wheel/) on it, all 15", I'd be most grateful. If the pic is too angled, please let me know and I'll take one directly from the side.

If it helps, car is currently on 14" with 225/R14/70 tires.

    Cheers
    T

  21. OK Paul...The image is so grainy and small you can't see much of the wheel color change .If you have a better one post it and we'll try a do-over.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Moose for the renderings he did in posts #21756 and #21761. Sherry and I now have a really good idea of what we want to do to Clarence when he gets to the painter's shop.

For anyone who might be interested I believe that the second pic in post #21760 speaks to me more than any of the others. I had been tired of the 5 spoke ET's on Clarence since they had been on him for over 20 years but now that I see them back on with the blue color I'm liking them again. I'll probably get new Americans (the ET's are now pretty ratty) but 5 spokes none-the-less.
