I see this Dodge almost every day, he’s parked down the street from my house.

Anybody have an extra “D” or “E” for his hood?

This is a converted four door being put together by students at Automotive Mentoring Group
in Bedford Park, Illinois, just outside the Chicago city limits. Recently, I posted a photo of
a '61 Buick sitting under a hoist holding a Chevy pickup. They were also built by students.
While nothing is promised, on occasion a student is awarded a car that he worked on in the
program. Keeping kids and young adults off the streets and saving lives. I'll post another shot of
the Invicta and Chevy, hopefully the mods will look past the rims being used and and allow you
to see what American youths can do with thoughtful guidance.

Went and talked to one of the local old timers and he has 1952 Ford AWD ranger. It was a Ford panel van converted into a 7 passenger wagon at a conversion company in Indiana, with a lifted AWD platform. He said there was only handful made and even less in existence

A little wordplay on my non bug friendly rolling brick wall...

I am a nature lover and dragonflies are cool.

Many times I am a little disappointed at whats stuck on the front or what ends up in the cabin...but hey life goes on.

Last night cruising home at 55mph dark already...4 x 4 right behind super bright lights rounding a curve I see just ahead to my left a good sized doe running off the shoulder into the grass. I think the rattling noisy Hotrod might have saved me there. My headlights aren't the brightest but do work albeit I keep night driving to a minimum.

upload_2018-6-12_7-39-49.png Free, local City of San Clemente Magazine Cover
    Hello,

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned the San Clemente Pier. (Ron's Cool Attractions ) It is one of the old wooden piers located in South Orange County. Every city that has a pier always associates it with the surf culture. San Clemente is no different. Since I saw this cover of a local free magazine, it took us back to when our granddaughter was 2-3. She used to love walking on the pier.(riding in the stroller, too.) We ate at the huge restaurant on the pier that takes up both sides of the pier closest to the shoreline.

The Fisherman’s Restaurant was/is a favorite of ours and it is also, a very popular place for the locals/ and visitors. The Amtrak Coastal Train from San Diego to Los Angeles, makes a stop right in front of the pier, just steps away from the Fisherman’s Restaurant.

more than once over the years.

The latest visit by our granddaughter gave us an idea to rekindle some old memories of dining and visiting the San Clemente pier for the umpteenth time, since 2006. We used to come here for the coastal ambience, sunset views, and the surrounding beach.

But, the food is also outstanding. Over the years, we found out that the children’s Halibut portion was actually better than the adult version. (probably changed since way back then…) Also, our granddaughter would oogle the waves and the surfers below.

Although there are ocean piers in California that you can drive out to the end, this pier allows driving out only on special occasions. The pier’s “woody event” is one of the exceptions. The pier is actually very old, and narrow.

The swell was up, the warnings were out, and the waves were getting near the bottom of the above, pier decking planks. The pier rumbles when the waves attack, every 30 seconds.

These posters and flyers were out all over town, in almost every shop and corner. It is this coming Saturday for the car show event.

I must be somewhat famous here in this coastal city, as there was a poster in a downtown candy storefront window spouting out: “Fish Naki” yes!

It was a nice day to hang out with our soon to be teenage granddaughter.
