Just curious: Do the cl*** rules require that huge grill opening to remain open?

Looks like 5700rpm for a mile at the 3 will get you a record. In my opinion since the norm in licensing allows to exceed 125 but not go over 150 if you feel comfortable in the truck you can qualify in your first p***. When I set my first record at 144 both ways plus qualifying (took 3 p***es in 76) in our 40 Chevrolet I used a 2.86 gear so I wasn't turning it much. GMC's had a lot of grunt. Every thing is looking good for you. Keep it up...

Thanks to my team mates Tom T and Gabby they finished painting the inside of the hauler, nice and bright inside now. I got the front bumper painted trimed in the hood and team mates helped me set the hood in place. Photos tomorrow.

Lookin sharp John, you are flyin thru this build! Just a headsup, not being critical, I got gigged at a national event and they made us upgrade to 1/2" bolts to hold down the batteries. Dunno if its' that way now but I'm just mentioning it in case you never thought about it.

Worked on wiring again today, now have all the gauges working, all the lights in the dash working. Patched the last big hole in the floor, ran brake light wires and installed a brake light switch. Reworked the brake pedal position for driver comfort.

Gtreat work day today. Finished the fire suppression system, installed the shifter cable, driver emergence master cut off cable, started working on the bed cover and it's support system, fabricated and installed the driver head support extinction . SCTA rules say it must come at least to the front of the drivers helmet face. Done.. 0523181606.jpg 0523181614a.jpg 0523181614.jpg 0523181610.jpg 0523181609.jpg 0523181607a.jpg 0523181608a.jpg
