Well, if you can get to Frankenmuth, Mi Friday night :D , you can see it run Mainstreet ahead of the dragsters - locked in a bitter re-match with the ex-Mancini Racing Mopar...... ! I'm even taking out the baffles......

OK - I have way too many projects, and I'm never going to get this to the strip where it belongs !!:(

One of you guys needs to make this into a proper HAMB dragster , therefor I'm letting her go - see the classifieds !:)

Update to this car. It now resides in riverside count Ca. And is undergoing a full resto and upgrades.

About that...What kind of tow set up do you have? I want to pull my 1958 camper with my '50...especially for Back to the Bricks.

I built a 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 hitch receiver for the car - tied into the frame and bumper mounts. Originally built to pull a motorcycle trailer - so plenty strong to flat tow this light Crosley. Probably not heavy enough for a camper - but you could design one that was. Or go to a hitch fabrication place and they could fab one up for you.

I own 5 Crosleys at this point

  25. I would think the largest collection on the west coast. I'm always looking for Hillman or Crosley stuff just to see what out there (cars and parts) and it's usually not much.

. . . long time ago in SCTA, Ron Bennom (sp?) built a Competition Coupe with the wheels inside the body lines of the Crosley. To my knowledge, this was the first drag or land speed car to put them where they came from. It set numerous records.

    Runs in the family!

  30. Someone locally on the Island had a bunch, all stock-ish running gear. One was a wagon, really have not seen them in a long while.
