Moving ahead slowly. Almost finished replacing the cowel top and the louvered deck lid and dash repairs are also close to being done.

A little color on the louvers makes a difference. Take sooo long to clean up, so at this stage I'm doing it row by row. I'm wnodering if someone could help me I.D a couple of superchargers I've stumbled upon? Pretty sure one is a 4-53 detroit, but I'm unsure on the other. I've worked it out, the other is a 6-53 detroit. I'm not sure how good the application on a flatty would be for either of them but they're reasonably priced....

20180616_175147.jpg What transmission cover is that, original '32?? Seems taller than an original. Would love to find one just like that for my 5w floor.

The trans cover is 1932 hillman. I bought a heap of panels cheap and that's about all I kept.

received_10154292948477894.jpeg received_10154292948302894.jpeg I bought these panels for $70 with the 2 chassis and sold them for $450 which paid for some parts on the roadster! Trans cover fits well!

I've just found your thread, wow! A bunch of great finds! I'm slowly trading my way into a 35 sedan, all good fun. Have subscribed.

It really is good fun! The hunt can be more fun than the build, and keeping it as a low budget car built on profit from saving and selling rusty tin has made it very satisfying! 2017-05-26 11.05.09.jpg Still a long way to go for me though!

I'll bet there is not to many(none) 1932 Hillmans in the states.

Yeah I'm guessing they would be harder to find than 32 parts over there.

Did some welding on my narrowed seat and a bit on the dash and deck lid. Holidays coming up so I should be able to make some real progress soon! 20180701_165945.jpg 20180701_161928.jpg 20180701_161024.jpg

Scored a few little gems today on my lunch break from work. I bought nine caps to complete a few sets, and some toasty handles to tie in with the roadsters theme. Sold two sets of caps and will put the money into the roadster.

I'm sure it's been done, but I like the idea of running full wheel cover caps, from spare wheel covers... As toasty as they are... I'm pretty happy to have an original set of 32 centre caps! 20180703_180858.jpg 20180703_180618.jpg 20180703_180504.jpg 20180703_180910.jpg 20180703_180919.jpg

I went back where I'd visited yesterday and found a pair of suitable indicator buckets that I feel are perfect for what I wanted! I also picked up three more 1935 caps to make another set bloody unbelievable, so much fun looking through all the parts and finding these gems! Brass buckets to tie in with my windshield frame as well! 20180704_161952.jpg 20180704_161158.jpg 20180704_151109.jpg 20180704_162252.jpg
