That rear quarter shot is just the cat's ass!

  3. Thanks!

My favorite view! (Well other than behind the wheel, ha!)

  4. Ok here's one more I thought turned out pretty nice too. No filter but I did have to lighten it up a tad.

I fired up my cheapy spool gun and stuck the feet on the tank brackets.

Then made a trip to the hardware store for some hooks and springs. I managed to get the springs pushed through some extra fuel line to match the engine compartment. I've a little cleanup to do yet but I'm pretty jazzed with how it came out!

I might need a different gas cap and I've got an idea for a "MOON" type info plate for the tank.

I added the side panels but took the running boards off to hide the tube frame, which I thought it made it look more like a 32, which I warned it to look like. That is why it appears channeled

  9. I had a good mail day today! My friend Travis Hess (Tukipaintsit) really did a heck of a job on the new show sign! We had this blurry pic from ‘63 and just winged it. 4A9520EA-B9B1-4310-8CFE-B06354C9FF8A.jpeg

  13. I’ve been busy trying to get my trailer roadworthy to haul the B.B. to the Drags and the Hill Climb. A friend gave me this old toolbox he had laying around so I made a mount and slapped a coat of paint on it and stuck it on the trailer to hold my chains and load binders etc. 1D49C0DD-4F5D-4686-BA66-644F01F99936.jpeg

It already had the cool fire extinguisher mount. I dug a spare shoebox ford wheel I had out of the chicken coop and got a new tire mounted. Yesterday I made a mount to stick it on the trailer. I’d like to make a spare tire cover and have “The Bachelor’s Button” chain-stitched on it eventually. 7C661861-7499-4EF5-8D23-F8701EBD14ED.jpeg

Today I decided I’d better see how the B.B. fit on the trailer. I had welded some D-rings to it last weekend as it had some pretty sketchy anchor points originally. I winched it up and down a couple times and drove it off and on a couple times. It has brakes on one axle that I still need to get sorted. 8C9D5666-171A-44A8-AF4E-8F23AA9AA0A5.jpeg

  15. Thanks man! Such a neat old trailer. I had been looking for one forever that had "the look."

  16. Your trailer is FIRST RATE Mike! Never seen lenses on the front of that cool toolbox... What are they for?

I’ve seen guide labeled lights that look similar that were for trucks or trailers

Left and right tool box turns...:D. Its a trucker thing...lights are a part of the Haulin experience...You must have seen some of those haulers with lights every square in there is a place to put them...Cactus is using restraint however and that is a good thing.

@Cactus what is the Showcard painted on hardboard, heavy boxboard? Just curious.

  19. Thanks man! The lights were already cut into the box when it was given to me. They are just a taillight for a truck/trailer as @Tim suggested.

Ha! I just like how kooky they are! My wife thinks I’m nuts (but she likes them too) ha!

The sign is painted on a prefinished piece of steel. It’s almost an appliance type epoxy I think?

  20. While this is up I may as well add this too. I got these caps off @big duece a while ago. The diagonal one was already painted red in spots but was rough. I decided to redo it and then thought what the hell I may as well do the other two. Unfortunately I only have the 3. 1AA950C9-D286-4466-8243-94F5C670127C.jpeg

They look pretty snappy! I should get some port-o-walls to really jazz it up? DEAA6308-3BE7-430F-B3E2-328FA1540F62.jpeg

  22. I may have some of them...

  23. Three is good enough. You can't see both sides of the trailer at the same time...

  24. True! :D And I actually have a couple of mismatched 4-bar flipper caps I may run on the other side in the interim!

Are those 14"? I have a set of the late model cheapey ones that match (minus the red) if you need some more?

  26. They are 15’s actually. Thanks for the offer though!

Think the 34 will pull that trailer and roadster alright? I guess Missouri/Kansas is pretty flat

  29. Ha! Maybe? But I'll be renting a late model truck to pull it as practice for the hill climb.

In theory you could build the fendered truck to pull it
