I have a 30 pickup that I'm struggling with and could use some help.... currently I only have the cab on a stand...so here's my questions....new to model A's.... trying to get my doors to fit, could someone post a pic of how the hinges go?.... I'm currently missing the header panel, should I wait until I get it and the roof sides on first?.... should I wait until it's on the frame?.....the doors are pretty rough and are going to need alot of work, so I was trying to get a jump on them while frame was getting worked on....and finally I'm planning on around a 3"chop...I'm ***uming that I want everything to fit good before I chop it?..... Any help would be greatly appreciated..... thanks Sent from my Alcatel 5085C using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Suggest make sure your frame is straight & square, then mount the body to it. Next true & square the body on the frame & mount & align all available parts BEFORE you attempt any repairs or "chop". The modifications will never be better than the original alignment that you do, so take your time & get it 'square' & 'right' first, & don't be afraid to re-check several times! When you finally finish the vehicle, you'll be very happy you went to all the alignment trouble first, as your work will be a lot easier if it's all square at the start. I think some of the major "builders" will join in & comment!!
Thanks, that's kinda what I had figured, just eager to keep project moving.... having frame professionally built by a friend...he does it for a living... Guess I'll just have to sit in it and make engine noises till the frame is ready....putt putt putt...vroooom ..... thanks again Sent from my Alcatel 5085C using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
