This car was once owned by Ken McIntyre who with his brother took over the Mid-America WILLYS Club. Ken along with Big John Mazmanian turned this car into the newest version of the "Big John Mazmanian" 1941 Coupe that was featured in Rodders Journal. It was sold and I haven't seen or heard about it since

 

I just stumbled onto this Willys site down under, lots of builds, coupe utilities, coupes, roadsters et al and posted it on another HAMB thread. The 1st ones are unique Ozzie cars, well they all are.

RIP Jack Merkel

 

A bunch from the Meltdown this past weekend. I loaded a bunch more pics on the thread that is linked in my signature.

 

That is Bill Boer with his daughter at their home on LI NY. Bill was one of many cars sponsored by Jack Merkel's shop including my own. This car eventually found it's way to Jack Olcott as a street rod. Jack sold it some time back and as far as I know it's still out there.

Bill Sworm's P.T. Willy still wears the original paint an interior from when it was originally raced. He saved the car from being turned into a promod back in the 90's. The car was originally campaigned by Busy & Fought. Not sure if the spelling of the original builds names is spelled right. I do know that those are the names of the builders.

 

Hassel & Vogelsong at Cecil county at the 64 Div. 1 race. I took the picture with my brownie while standing in my friend Ray Kobels shoulders, that's his 57 wagon in front of Ron's Willys, we towed the MG there with it.
