50Fraud's choice of Lincoln caps always seemed spot on to me, given the ride.

I have been trying to decide what one of the below I will go with.
    Caddy Hubs with Lancer Centers.
Or Caddy Hub with bullet centers.

I`ve always wanted to add 59 Caddy tail lights to the centers of my 57 Caddys. Never liked the bullets. I use a late model Caddy center on mine. They are more of a maroon color.

I bought a set of 57 Lincoln’s and was so disappointed to find out they wouldn’t work on my Shoebox vert, but then went with a Desoto that I thought looked good on it. 84CCCD06-FB73-45B7-838F-124E1478E56A.jpeg

I am with you on the 56/57 Lincoln caps and I have them on my 32 roadster. On the Hudson I kept the Hudson theme with 55 Hudson caps. Roadster 3 (Medium).jpg 109_0974 (Medium).JPG

  16. None of the two, the one above looks like Sauron's helmet and generally those Caddy Hubs are overused. There are many great alternatives, just look in this thread.

Not trying to be a nit picker, but those caps are 49/50 Lincoln. Hard ones to find that are not beat to death and have decent gold center pieces. Nice ones do look great on an older custom, always some of my favorites.

Regarding the 1957 Plymouth caps, all you have to do is pop rivet them to 15" trim rings and your in business!

I always thought the 59 T-Bird caps looked good on a 50s car.

  24. These are cool, and weren't limited to Thunderbirds. Although like the '57 Plymouth caps, are 14".

  25. In 55 and 56, Roadmasters only had the flippers. Here's my 38 coupe with 56 Buick caps 38.jpg

This is not a bad idea, except that the pop-rivets might look kind of hokey. I wonder if there might be a less obtrusive way of attaching the trim rings. It's something to look into.

You don't see the pop rivets, as they are attached to the "fingers" of the Plymouth caps, all you see is about 1/2" of the trim ring.

I was really proud of the way that car looked, hubcaps and all. It sure was a tough car to sell, though! It finally went to Australia.
