    Great find. Without google it would have been a long time before this was identified LOL. Would be an interesting story to find out how it ended up on the dragstrip and how good it ran. :)

    It looks like something I might have had as a 1:87 toy c. 1971.

    ===============

    Chevy power (and weight). Did it retain swing axles?
    I guess the roadsters got the much improved "low pivot-version" and some gadgetsts like "compensating" springs, but still might be best keep my foot in it, at least a little.

    In regards to the 300 SLS I can't answer for specs, but there is a ton of info on the web under Chuck Porter, the original builder from a scrapped car. I was only 12 at the time and am familiar with Chuck Porter from Ruddy. Weinstein & Red Bonneville and drag car endeavors in the mid 50's.

    That tube chassis is mind blowing, I haven't seen those wide 5 wheels in awhile, are you gonna use a Red Ram?

  25. Or, he was considering two different bodies- one for roadracing and one for land speed!

    And thanks again for the extra pics :)
