My 9th and 10th (1966-67) grade metal shop teacher had a white 58 Fairlane like that one. He showed us kids the fine art of "body work" with screen and Black Magic bondo on that Ford and turned us loose on it.. 58 Fords and Ohio salty winter roads were not a good combination! That car must have ended up with more crummy looking bondo patches and spray can white paint than any other car on the road:eek::p

I hung out at a Sohio station just like this one when I was a teenager. The owner always said Sohio stood for "Sold Only Here In Ohio" I found out later it was Standard Oil of Ohio. Kids back in those days would believe anything an older guy told them.

The oldman had a new white '58 Fairlane, 2dr ht, Must have been a 500 because I vaguely remember the gold side trim (I would have been about 4). 3 on the tree, and the oldman always ordered the hottest motor offered, and he did run 'em.
Always my favorite, 'til he brought home the '65 hipo 2+2.....:D
