Yes it was 4 lug, I modified the hubs and axles in my shop, no adapters. Rebuilt the stock brakes and ran new lines as the old ones were bad. I'd like to upgrade the brakes and do new hubs in front. I am contemplating getting a late model parts car and swapping in the complete suspension so will wait until I decide which direction I am going.

Anybody got a decent running Corvair engine for sale in Oregon or? I've got an original Parker buggy with a Corvair Powerglide. It had a reverse rotation aluminum Buick 215 V-8 in it.

Yep, bought the car and all the parts he had for corvairs. I did not realize how much stuff he had. It looked like he was selling bits at swap meets, as all the smaller parts were all in plastic containers with prices. When i got to pick the car up at customs i only just fitted in, there was boxes of stuff packed up to the roof as well as the trunk.I got a set of lowered coils from Clarks which came over with the car, fitted them, got it registered and away i went. Car is a 140hp Monza with p/g. Handles really well, plenty of go, sounds nice when your into it. A lot of people over here have never seen one, should see the look on their face when you show them where the motor is  Nearly everyone that looks at it says that it looks very similar to an early Camaro. The guy i got it from lives in Morton Grove Illinois.
Took it to the all american car show here in Melbourne, never sat down all day everyone that came past wanted to talk about it, even won the presidents award :)

  14. So glad you happy with your Corvair! I also have a 1965 and a 67 Camaro and the body lines are so similar. It's almost like they used the Corvair to design the Camaro. You have a great looking car. Jim E. OKC

That's actually a pretty commonly accepted explanation for '67-'68 Camaro styling. It was essentially the third-generation Corvair.

Pontiac built several mockups of a “Ventura” compact car using Chevrolet’s upcoming rear-engined Corvair model. Ultimately, when they introduced their own compact for production as a 1961, it was instead called the Tempest and built on the traditional Buick Special / Oldsmobile F-85 platform. This mocked-up “Ventura” was photographed in the styling studio on April 6, 1959.

There was talk years ago that you could cut of the front fender of a late model Corvair and flip it around to the opposite back fender of a Camaro. If you study it, it sure looks like its possible

For some reason, the wife is all over me to go look at this one. She is in love with these things, and wants a stock restored version. This '63 claims to have a solid body, starts, but needs brakes and int. work. Asking $750. I will probably go look and see if there is underside rot.
