Chain drive bus

 

I used to drive through Walnut quite a bit ducking the scale on I-80. My cousin lived north of town and once there was a family picnic there. On the way home I passed my Uncle that lived in Des Moines @ 120 mph. Further down the road I felt a wobble so I pulled over on the shoulder to check it out. A Iowa Highway Patrolman happened to stop behind me and asked what was wrong, we were talking when my Uncle drove by with all of my cousins laughing and pointing at me. A ways back down the road I hammered it and passed my Uncle again. Those were the days!

 

For the most part it doesn't look a whole lot different nowadays.

IN THE SPIRIT OF QUALITY V.S. QUANTITY:......i will voluntarily limit myself to 6 pictures per day....i will endeavor to make sure they are real,fit the pre-66 guideline, and unique and unusual...."motorhead-y" in nature.....(some of the HOG pictures are ok with me...they were part of the scene)...no reposts of "popular" pics....no hard google-cruising or (limit 6) cut-n-pasting frenzy...
....seems some folks just want to have a huge number of posts after their names....that leads to garbage....
but dont throw "BAN" around.......it's all just a matter of learnin' your manners..

Before Breedlove hit the berm (in the background) and flew through the air landing in the dike, he cut a nice 3-wheel path through the telephone poles. The utility company sued Goodyear Tire and Shell Oil Co. (our sponsors) for the cost to install new poles. He was coasting at about 250 MPH (no 'chutes and no brakes) when he hit these poles...

 

My attempt at humor. Those tiny pictures are impossible to enjoy at that size. I appreciate what SpeedD contributes but certainly someone could/has shown him how to make them larger so those of us with tired eyes can enjoy. If I knew how I would myself.
