Northwest Nite Corvette. Run by the Christianson Brothers out of Arlington WA. Attached video is at Seattle late 60's early 70's, some great shots but be forewarned there are some muscle car bodied funnies present. Don't want to give anybody the vapors!

Love the videos Johnny 99. When drivers where also the crew chief, mechanic, tow rig driver or anything else they had to do to compete. Great memories.

speaking of str8-8's this was our '37 Buick Special with the 322 roadmaster engine, 6 carbs 8 into one exhaust, vertex and Howard cam. we raced/won F/gas at Bakersfield in 1960 gas and fuel championships. this picture at Lodi Calif (Kingdon) just prior to going to Bakersfield. the honcho of our group had a '38 buick limited limo with a 392 hemi and a LaSalle trans that we used to tow the '37-with a tow bar not a trailer, on the way to Bakersfield cruising (towing)highway 99 a '50 Olds came alongside, Earl couldn't resist and he raced/beat the Olds towing the 37, I was sure we were going to die.- if I'm reposting this pic, sorry my memory is just a memory

I think that the nearest car is a very early version of the Chrisman brothers Hustler I?

  15. Good eye 296. I had the same feeling when I first looked at the photo. Roll bar, cowl, and a familiar looking helmet on the driver, like pictures of the 25 car. I'm sure the chassis morphed through several transitions before it reached its final look we're all so familiar with.

Waters & Murray fuel roadster (then called "hot roadsters") at Pomona. They sold this car to Eddie Bosio before building their famous 555 roadster with a stroked Chevy. Photo by Norm Grudem.

Zeuschel, Fuller, and Prudhomme at Lions....still one of the best chute-pack bodies, in my estimation.

Larry Shinoda, with the Powers fuel Olds...I think that this was after Larry moved to Detroit from SoCal to start a long and famous automotive career.

This might be Pfaff and Sowins, not sure. It has a 4-71 blower with the Endrele barn door injector
