Man, what a great job you've done. (I came down to your place with Mike L. when you sold a " roller" to Ronnie W.) That's going to be one sharp rig! Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Thanks guys, it’s coming together Let’s see if this works It had just fired it and was around 2k rpm I started to take the video, notice no water temp yet but it came up to around 190 and stayed . https://m.youtube.com/watch?sns=em&v=55B54kiQKVA
Always makes me nervous when you first start a new motor and things start smoking! That sounds killer, and the side by side intake is super cool. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Picked up a new condenser from vertex and it fired back up so that’s a good sign. I was able to pick up the marks with a timining light which is a crapshoot with mags. It’s steady at 32 degrees so I think the mag is good to go now. Here’s a quick video with a couple blap blaps !
Yowza Joe! Looks and sounds great. You have come a long way in a short amount of time. See you out there
Little bit closer Fit up the belt line and put the final coat of primer on. Sealed up and painted the floors Then shot the inside over the weekend Hope to paint the outside in a couple weeks
Great build there ,,I really like the use of the late 3 speed with the top shift ,,simple ,,,cheap ,,,replicates the earlier Toploader setup but with strong reliability ,,the stick comes up in the right spot too,,how many gears do you want to be rowing through ?
The belt line is the original leather back piece. I welded studs to it instead of attaching with nails like original. It has a bunch of small nuts inside I just tightened up on and seam sealed in between .
Thank you, I went with the 3spd because the Nailhead is all low end grunt no rpm engine. 3.50 gears with ~32” tall tire. She will have some nice long legs with this setup
Finally was able to paint the body, took me about three (maybe four) times longer then I thought it would to body work but it feels damn good to hit this point. I used some Nason single stage and a harbor freight hvlp gun to do the deed
Great build, Mine is going a little slower, learning a lot watching your build. I see your from MA, I'm from CT maybe I will see your car at one of the shows soon.
