    hello
    i am now looking for someone or some where i can sen my speedo motor to and to fix it
    it works up untill it gets to 25-30 mph then it starts jummping all over the place i have already imstalled new cable and gear

    I'm curious to know what would cause that. I had a 67 Cadillac that would do it sporadically but at higher speeds. It would make a sound, "WANG!" and the pointer would wag back and forth on the scale like like dog's tail for a few miles and then settle back to normal.

    Call Williamson's in Arkansas. They repair all kind of gauges and speedos

    you could try lubing it at the head best with it out.I have used a light oil like 3in1 a little is all that is needed.the bushing is where I found the problem was it is worth a try I did it a lot over the years.we have what is called robertson screws up here the green handled screwdriver makes a perfect tool to work the drive while a few drops are all that is needed.use screwdriver or something similar to turn drive it only takes a few minutes for oil to do job.I also have used a battery operated drill when they became available at a slow speed with a green robertson bit
