Just so everyone knows, I have deleted a bunch of motorcycle pictures lately. This is NOT a motorcycle forum. All posts in this thread must contain a picture taken before 1965, and each photo must contain a car

I think I've seen this picture before, I hope it wasn't on this thread. If so I will delete it. IMG_5226.jpg

Rootie, you got me on this one. Could that be one of the Joe Lencki cars possibly? Emil Andres drove for Lencki a couple of times.

Apparently, just a little more horsepower. Warren & Coburn's car (pictured) was quite successful. from George Klass:
" Fifty eight years ago (1960), this digger took home the Top Eliminator Trophy in the Gas Dragster division at the famed Bakersfield Fuel-Gas Championship March Meet..."
The oddest combo I remember was in a Bantam coupe, at Bonneville. It was either Howard Johanson, or Mickey Thompson (both ran twin-engine Bantams). At one time, said car had a blown Chrysler Hemi, and a carbed Flathead V8. I've always marveled that the Hemi didn't blow that flattie to bits!
I have many times tried to find a picture of this car (I have seen it), but so far, in vain. If anyone knows more, please link to this post.

Not a 100% sure myself, but I think that's Tony B. in Joel Thorn's car 1947 which was a DNQ.

I'm not sure, either. But if it was a Thorne car I would have expected a Sparks 6 cylinder engine and the engine looks like an Offy in the photo.

See what you think but in the attached photo of Emil Andres in 1947 the Lencki car looks very similar. I believe that Andres drove this same car in 1941. And Lencki records are always sketchy because he always seemed to enter his cars with the Lencki 6 engine listed even when he ended up running an Offy.

    Thanks, Rootie!
