  3. Looks kinda like the old 'Predator' carb, only smaller. A weird one for sure...

Be real curious to see what's inside the end cover.

Or maybe one of those bus station lockers. Give the key to some random guy on the street. (Right before they waste you, natch) Woooeeeoo!

That's one of those 100 mpg carbs that were all ordered destroyed by the Government and the oil companies.

Very interesting; have not seen this one before.

  8. Looks to be machined out of an alum block, rather than typical cast zinc that most carbs are.

  9. Looks like the kind of carb a person would use on an old industrial stationary engine that used a governor. A friend of mine collected antique one lung engines, some up to 30 hp, and he had a carb that was similar to that. Most of the engines dated to the 20s and 30s.
Some of the carbs on these engines were actually called air/fuel mixers and I don't know if there was a difference.

  10. It’s the long lost mythical 100 mpg carb

Maybe an early Kendig, predecessor to Predator.

thanks for the help so far no other writing on box other side has same hot rod looking logo - only writing on carb is the number 1016 on each part and the aluminum ring to right in one picture was with it in box but the top of carb has that little bump so this ring doesn't lay completely flat so don't know if part of it or not as the 4bbl to 2bbl adaptor was inbox also which isn't for this type carb.

Bottom bolt holes look like small base 4 barrel but without measuring. They are threaded... confusing? Maybe have bolted to an adapter then on a manifold.

I think @Beanscoot and @anthony myrick are actually in the ballpark. There was an Advanced Fuel Systems that offered a variation of the "Pogue carburetor."

Found this snippet from a Farm Show Magazine article--

And now that I've posted this, there is a black helicopter circling my neighborhood.

Would be interesting to see it tested on a known quantity engine. With todays' technology you just never know. Interesting stuff.
