OP by the late 3wLarry So...In the context of this thread...Yes... https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/black-on-black-on-black.88364/
I raised the question because a friend had a new 61 Pontiac with black paint, black interior and black rims. Back then, it was called "triple black" in my neck of the woods. As an extra tidbit, here's how meaning of "my neck of the woods" came to be. https://www.theguardian.com/notesandqueries/query/0,5753,-22668,00.html
No problems...it is something I have been guilty of myself...we all need to click on Page 1 of whatever thread we are partaking in and scroll to the top and read what the OP's intent was regardless of other connections to what it may mean or have meant. I even think the white topped roadsters are technically out but I dunno...Beautiful Hotrods but some threads you are just the black sheep period... It is one of those things that has riddled many threads with inconsistencies.
It is confusing since Triple Black refers to three things, then you have wheels, tires, body, top, and interior. So, maybe it should be Black on Black, on Black, on Black, on Black for open cars.
Okay I am going to revisit the White Tops...Larry posted enough of them in the early going soooooo I will stand corrected...it's really just an adjustment for Stogy... I do find it odd when Hambers post pics knowing full well it ain't right...and even admit to it and still post it...that is dumb... There's so many threads where you can post and when it ain't right that's a real good reason to refrain. See here...White Tops in... https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/black-on-black-on-black.88364/#post-1059662 https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/black-on-black-on-black.88364/page-2#post-1059851 I will now cease my blah blahing and now post something on topic... ...I am a little color challenged is this Black or Blue? Stogy, im going to say Blue but to be that dark it must have a ton of black in it, or is it a drop of blue in the black......but hey, it's good enough!! JW
...is precisely... And anyone who doesn't get it or respect the intent of this thread should be made to sit in the corner wearing a dunce hat for at least six months.
I guess the old U.F.O. is just black. Yeah, I too really miss Larry, and his post. Ron.... Sent from my SM-G920P using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
7.00x15 Nanco......don't think they are made anymore. They are similar to these, but mine were listed as light truck tires. Don't know if trailer tires are ok on the rear of a hot rod??? Load range D are a little stiff, but load range E are more common to find, but too stiff, unless that's all that is available. Hope that helps you.
My 34 3 window, (not H.A.M.B. friendly), is flat black because I like it that way and also because my close fiend who wired it and basically says, "Hot rods are black, Street rods can be any color".
