This was before the repaint. An interesting individual to say the least.

 

Any pics of the re-paint?

 

He bought the car out of Minnesota as in the form and color as the pic above. The article that appeared in Rod and Custom was wrong. The car was not orange, he had the motor painted which was orange. It was in a mechanic`s shop and some thing got on the paint and ruined it. The shop closed it`s doors. Saw the car at an event(Goodguys) and couldn`t see anything wrong with it. He got a free paint job and had the side scoops molded in and put 60 Pontiac(?) tail lights on the car. Was painted back to the blue. Sorry no pic`s as he displays the car with both doors open as well as the hood and the trunk.

Yes they do...not much needed on those cars...one day....one day...

 

Kind of blurs the line between lowrider and mild Kustom...but I like it...

Here's my VERY mild custom 53 Coronet. Some of you may remember this car for sale on the HAMB a couple years ago. Much more to do!

 

^^^ Anyone know what tailights and rear bumper are on this 54'

 

Tail lights on the '54 Chevy are '55 Plymouth. Not sure on bumper.

 

The rear bumper looks like a one-piece 53-54 Chevy rear bumper, sans rear guards and crossbar. To compensate for the bottom of the rear quarter panel being extended downward, looks like there might be some cut down 53-54 Chevy rear bumper ends tucked under the full bumper. The skirts are handmade custom. Looks like to whole lower rear quarter/skirts were extended downward to visually lower the back of the car.
