I saw it last summer at a show in Prescott..Hunk of junk, whatever it used to be...and dare I mention, so far removed from a "Gasser" it's not even funny anymore..
Hey fellas... I cleaned up this thread a bit... If you have a problem with another member, please take it off-line or off the forum... Not really our thing to host that stuff. Thanks!
Yes. Porter is a great driver, one of the best out there with HP and a stick. The car is set on kill always and runs in the high 8s. Very strong performer .
I met Greg and Tony Turner (Quick/Dirty) at the CHRR ? two ? years ago, not sure if Tony traveled with Greg or not but Tony introduced me to Greg, wish I'd had more time to chat, they were busy. But boy did I get to see that ol green 55 run, couldn't get enough of it.
This one was insprational for me towards the love of a cool 55 chevy. I saw this in a magazine around probably 83 or 84 (still have the mag) I dont think I had ever heard of a Gasser or a Street freak at the time all I knew was that this was one cool jacked up 55 chevy When I was probably about 11 or 12 A friend of my Dads with a family connection brought his family (wife, and three kids about my age at the time)down on a couple hour drive to our house one weekend in a red 55 just like this one, only it was factory height with slightly narrower cragars.......If I wasnt already a 55 guy, I definitely was now as I just about flipped out! I couldnt even believe it was in our drive way He was a tri five guy and I remember a few he had, years later I heard he only gave or got 3500 for that one
